MAS BRINGS IN NEW ARTIST FOR UPCOMING, END OF SUMMER RELEASE!

In MAS five year history, there has been a wide assortment of new, impactful artist to come through its doors. From Anibal Arroyo's groundbreaking work on the MAS flagship title, Street Journal,” to Benjamin Keller-Niemen’s preview pages for this upcoming Summers, Action, Hero release, “Lords Of Nevada(Lon);” MAS has been lucky enough to work with some of the independent world's best upcoming creators, but none has raised the bar higher than the work of Luca Cicchitti; a talented artist whose work is now opening up our new Anthology book, “Hot Tales: Bad Asses,” also scheduled for the End of the Summer release. This book consist of eight stories, highlighting tough, kick butt Heroines; but the book is not the only  thing under the spotlight. In this editorial piece, Luca is the guest of honor!

But to find him, MAS had to do something different.  For such professional talent that will knock you out of your seat, we had to look outside of the United States (at least on this project) as far west as Luciano, Italy to find him. Interestingly enough, we first found out about him through the Facebook chat. Luca saw our work and quickly inquired into whether we we're looking for an artist right at the time "Hot Tale: Bad Asses" was in conception. Now, this is a professional artist who have done work for various publications in Italy; so he is no stranger to the field; but how would that translate to an American, comic  audeince where dynamic art and fast action, fixes are the adrenaline shot of the  gendra! Answer: incredibly well!

The beauty in his art is that, each panel tells a story and although, traditional in nature, it’s clean, free flowing style makes it easy for the reader to get immediately swept away into the world, he has created with each image.

Hot tales: Bad Asses,” at the least is a daring action ride from start to finish, creating classic characters, but what I think will happen,  it will showcase a classic artist in Luca Cicchitti. The miracle of it is, MAS was fortunate enough to be one of the independent companies working with him!

So keep an eye out for this artist and look for “Hot tales: Bad Asses,” sold at the MAS Booth debuted at the upcoming NY Comic Convention on October 11-14th. In the meantime, here is some art from “Hot Tales: Bad Asses,” courtesy of Luca Cicchitti.
